 A partial loading ban on public transport vehicles in the Amhara region has been lifted

Amhara Regional State Roads and Transport Bureau announced that it has lifted the halfway ban on public transport following  the  expiration of the declaration a state of emergency to prevent the virus.

Deputy Head of the Bureau, Wube Atinafu, told ENA that a state of emergency has been declared the ste of emergency for the past five months following the outbreak of corona virus.

He recalled that following the state of emergency, mandatory directives have been issued to reduce the capacity of city taxis, three-wheeled taxis, cross-country buses and other public transport vehicles.

However, the Federal Transport Authority said in a letter sent to the bureau that the ban was lifted due to the expiration of the proclamation.

Any public transport service vehicle will be partially charged and will charge users at the normal rate, ”he said.
